#Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise stepped in to save his agent from being fired after her pro-Palestine social media posts already cost her a demotion at one of the industry’s top talent agencies.
Maha Dakhil was relieved of her duties as co-chief of the motion pictures department at reputed firm Creative Artists Agency (CAA) after her Instagram posts describing the Zionist entity’s assault on Gaza as a genocide sparked wide-criticism in the industry. “What’s more heartbreaking than witnessing genocide? Witnessing the denial that genocide is happening,” she had posted in the caption under one of her posts.
But CAA reportedly decided to keep Dakhil as an agent after #TomCruise, one of her top clients, made it known to the company that he was supporting her. “Cruise met with Dakhil at her CAA office on Nov 15,” Variety reported. “A knowledgeable source says he took the rare step of going in person to show support for his embattled agent.”
