A teenage boy lost his life after drowning in the Ravi River while he was shooting a TikTok video along with his two friends near Shahdara Town, Lahore on Sunday. reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to Rescue 1122, three friends of Shahdara Town were making TikTok near the bank of the Ravi River.
Reportedly, the deceased, identified as Tayyab, drowned when he jumped into the River along with his friend, while another friend of theirs was recording the video. Tayyab was 14 years old.
After an intense search operation, the Rescue 1122 divers managed to retrieve the victim’s body. Later his body was handed over to his heirs after fulfilling legal requirements.
The locals claimed that there was Section 144 imposed bathing in the river, but the Shahdara police failed to implement it.
They demanded the IG Punjab take notice of the sad incident.
