Actor Shaan Shahid has always been in headlines for expressing his views. The actor recently took to Twitter to criticize renowned Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan on his decision to dub the Hindi version of The Lion King. The Zero star recently shared the Hindi version trailer for which he voiced Mufasa’s character.
In response to SRK’s tweet, Shaan asked him to not destroy an iconic film like The Lion King with Hindi dubbing and to at least change his vocal expression for the iconic character.
He tweeted saying, “When the actor loses confidence and his passion to show his craft, that’s the answer you get. Hunger should never die. Follow all the great actors, what they did after they became greats. They challenged themselves with what they wanted to do. The role comes from inside.”
He added: “James Earl Jones must be laughing. What Shah Rukh failed to understand if that the characters in the film are sketched according to the dubbing artists facial expressions… if you see Simba he resembles Matthew Brodrick.”
SRK, along with son Aryan Khan, voice Mufasa and Simba in the upcoming Hindi version of a live-action remake of The Lion King, set to hit the cinemas on July 19.
