Lady Gaga makes history at the Oscars

PHOTO: INSTAGRAMLady Gaga has become the first person ever to have won an Oscar, Grammy, BAFTA and Golden Globe all within a single year, consequently making history, reported Harper’s Bazaar.

The singer-turned-actor took home an award for Best Original Song for Shallow, from hit film A Star is Born. Her acceptance speech saw the 32-year-old thank co-star and director Bradley Cooper for “believing in us”.

Bradley, there is not a single person on the planet that could’ve sang this song with me but you. Thank you for believing in us. Thank you so much. And if you are at home, and you’re sitting on your couch and you’re watching this right now, all I have to say is that this is hard work.”
  1. She continued, “I’ve worked hard for a long time, and it’s not about, you know… it’s not about winning. But what it’s about is not giving up. If you have a dream, fight for it. There’s a discipline for passion. And it’s not about how many times you get rejected or you fall down or you’re beaten up. It’s about how many times you stand up and are brave and you keep on going. Thank you!”
PHOTO: ABC NEWSFollowing that, Lady Gaga and Cooper provided fans with a live rendition of the award-winning song on stage. Unsurprisingly, their performance garnered a roar of applause and numerous standing ovations.

Bold fashion statements at Grammys 2019

Lady Gaga attended the event clad in a custom-made Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen dress. The Bad Romance singer accessorised with a £23 million Tiffany & Co necklace, last worn by Audrey Hepburn during the Breakfast At Tiffany’s press tour.
