Sumayrah Khan wears many hats, and does a lot. She is marketing consultant, creative content creator and a host, but she mostly known as an R.J for Radio1FM91.1.

She continues to grow as a business woman and sat down with us to talk about her clothing line ‘Qashang’.

Finally! We get to talk to you about your brand ‘Qashang’, how have you been?

Yes I’ve been looking forward to this interview myself. It’s a pleasure to speak you.What did you enjoy the most about being an R.J/ V.J/ Host?
Each have their own charm but since I am a people’s person it’s connecting with people that I enjoy the most.

With your clothing brand ‘Qashang’, how do you manage a all the multitasking?

I have studied Apparel Merchandising for 6 semesters and having a career in fashion was always something I wanted. I have B.A degree in Film & TV and career as an RJ / VJ / Host was by chance & something I had a knack for. We don’t necessarily have to follow and do what we have a degree for but actually pursue whatever inspires us to make something of ourselves & enjoy the process.

What are your inspirations?
Depends for what? It can be people, nature anything that makes me feel good and whole.

Who would you like to see wearing your clothes?
Women who are confident and comfortable in their own skin. Who believe in individuality to stand out rather than blend in among others.

How would you describe your aesthetic?
No pretense and keep it simple.

Would you like to try your hand at other ventures also?

I have never stopped myself from trying anything new and if something interests me will definitely go for it. Must test the water at least and then just trust the process.
