The ritzy and ultra-glitz runway at Lakme Fashion Week has always been a pleasure to watch.
However, one of the significant features was when mother-to-be Neha Dhupia walked down as a showstopper on the ramp, alongside husband, Angad Bedi on Day 4.
The couple turned showstoppers for designer Payal Singhal and looked absolutely stunning in their matching floral printed attires.
Dhupia transmitted tastefulness in a peplum best and skirt combo that was decorated with silver stacked bangles and a mixed cocktail ring. Smokey eyes and her tresses coiffed into twists supplemented her look well. In the interim, Bedi looked smart in a flower sherwani.
Singhal introduced her Mu’asir collection at the fashion show this time. Mu’asir means modern or contemporary in Persian and the designer’s line had all the nuances that she is famous for. Inspired by folk art tapestry, one of the oldest handmade techniques in the world, the collection included pieces featuring art forms of Turkish Kilim, the Persian Tabriz and medieval Mille-Fleur.
