Mehreen Jabbar talks about the element of social media in “Ek Jhoothi Love Story”

Directed by critically acclaimed Mehreen Jabbar, Zindagi’s second original web series ‘Ek Jhoothi Love Story’ is successfully streaming on ZEE5.

Having a light hearted and fun tone, the show’s realistic storytelling helps the viewers resonate with different characters on-screen.

Ek Jhoothi Love Story revolves around the aspirations present online for both; the general audiences and stars.

On speaking about social media, Mehreen says, “Social media brings in factors which lead to challenges and expectations. This complicates one’s expectations of a perfect outcome, as there is no room for flaws. It can certainly become very stressful if one gets fully involved in it.”

While the series showcases the use of social media, the real USP of the show focuses on a different approach in life. Mehreen said, “I think the show is about finding love and aspirations in life to become something. The USP of the show is the wish one has to have a fulfilling life with respect to love, the person you wish to be and relationships in general. From falling in love to finding your ideal, the show is a perfect family drama and has all the elements to it.”
