1. Plan Out Your Sleeping Hours
We all know how messed up our sleeping routines can be during Ramzan, but we have to say this: make a plan to sleep well during the month of Ramzan and follow that plan religiously. You will probably have to set a couple of extra alarms to wake up for offering prayers and other chores but as long as you are well-rested, you will be able to do anything & everything without feeling exhausted.
2. Avoid Caffeine (At All Costs)
Yeah, we know that, that is going to be tough, but you know what? To stay productive and dare we say healthily active, you must avoid caffeine. So, what happens is that when we take a cup of chai after Iftar, it makes us stay active and also affects our sleep routine. Another sad thing that the caffeine intake does is that it makes you urinate a lot too and you will end up being dehydrated the next morning. To ensure that you are not only hydrated but you have also slept well, avoid caffeine at all costs!
3. Work Out – It’s Now or Never
All of us have been there when we purchase every necessary item for our new working out routine only to find out that it’s us that don’t feel like working out. We keep on delaying the workouts and then the feeling dies down on its own – like what’s the point, right? Well, allow us to share it with you guys that working out during Ramzan will not only keep you energized, but your body will be relaxed, and you will find it in you to take a couple of power naps during the day if not extensive hours of sleep.
4. Plan Your Workdays
Before going to bed during the night, plan out your working days; create a timetable for a day if you find it too hard to make one for the whole week. Plan your day in such a way that you can also take mini breaks if you want to so that you can stay focused. Normally, during Ramzan, the workload is not too much but even if something feels a little too overwhelming, know that you are allowed to sit back and take a break. By doing so, you will be able to go back to your worktable with a fresh mind and thoughts and you will be able to make sure that the work that you are doing is done – in style.
5. Go Easy on Yourself
You really (Really) need to get this, guys – going easy on yourselves will do wonders. Always remember that the work, whatever that is can be done in sessions instead of meeting all the deadlines right away. You can always strategize your work schedule in a way that it won’t affect your health and honestly, this is the right time to do it.
Understand that you can be a workaholic and someone who takes care of themself. Taking a break for ibadat and literally for yourself won’t hurt anyone. You need it, your body needs it so why not pause for a while every now and then, yeah!?
