Well, what an amazing surprise! Eyes of the Orangutan is a finalist at nature film’s equivalent to the Oscars: @jacksonwildorg.
Our hope is that this documentary will shed light on an industry which sees thousands of animals suffer every single day…all for our ‘entertainment’.
Orangutans have brilliant minds. They are complex and nurturing, empathetic and sensitive. They suffer in the same way humans do; emotionally, physically and spiritually. They do not belong in captivity.
We put everything we could into this film. I hate the wishy washy term ‘make a difference’ but it’s truly our hope to bring about change to this cruel and harmful industry.
Thank you to all of our partners, in particular @terramater along with @bos_schweiz, @bosfoundation, @bornfreefoundation, @jakartaanimalaidnetwork, and the core crew: @chris_scarffe_film_photography, @willfostergrundyfilm and @d_antochewicz…along with everyone else who helped us make this film. There are too many to name, but we couldn’t have made this documentary without the help of so many passionate people.
